High school graduation is a bittersweet event for just about everyone. On one hand, you’re so excited to be free of school assignments, schedules and the inability to make your own decisions and on the other you’re terrified of what life will be like without all of that. Looking back, there’s a thing or two I wish I’d known prior to my graduation.
Summer Shoe DIY
05.15.16Today, I’m bringing something much anticipated to the blog, my first DIY! Last week my friend, and YouTuber, Caylen and I were discussing the possibility of collaborating on a few summer DIY projects! We finally decided our first project would be decorating canvas shoes because the whole ‘shoe decorating’ thing has been floating around Pinterest forever and neither of us had ever given it a try. Our main goal was to try to use things we already had at home, which ended up working out really well. The only item we didn’t have on hand were the shoes!
God, the Fire & Unwavering Grace
05.06.16Growing up, Fort McMurray, AB was the place in the world I disliked the most. It was where my dad would go to work for weeks or even months at a time. I struggled to understand why he kept going back and often found myself thinking, ‘what job is there that he can’t possibly work here at home?’ When my dad left out of town it forced him to miss countless games, races, recitals and ceremonies so, naturally, I blamed his absence on the place I associated with his work, Fort Mac.
15 Things You Didn’t Know About My Wedding (Unless Maybe, You Were There)
04.11.16As wedding season approaches I thought it would be fun to share some things a lot of people didn’t know about our wedding. Throughout our planning process and the entire day, I was reminded that even the not-so-perfect moments come together to create a perfect day!
Mexico 2016
02.24.16Last week my family jetted off to Mexico to celebrate my dad’s 50th birthday! It was extra special because it was the first time all 12 of us have gone on a trip together! I’ve complied a collection of blurry iphone photos, shaky videos and random moments to share of our trip below. We hung out on the beach, swam in the pool, played ping-pong, explored the town, took terrifying bus rides, scoped out the nearest Starbucks, went snorkeling, on a boat ride, shopping, sang karaoke & ate + drank LOTS. It was an awesome and super memorable week!
